My 2022 Manifesto

New Year, New Dreams

A new year holds so much promise and hope for the future. As we move into a new chapter it's so important to put words around our dreams. Call them new year resolutions or goals, it doesn't matter. What's important is to add meaning to the things we hold inside our heads and our hearts.

Mission vs Manifesto

Heading into this year I had a thought. What is my vision? What do I want to accomplish? I'm sure you've all heard of a vision and mission statement. Most companies develop this to define where they see their business going and how they will get there. Outlining this for myself however was not so simple. Will the vision I hold today be the same 5 years from now? Probably not.

Instead, I thought of a Manifesto....for a few reasons. One, it has the word manifest in it (way cooler and more meaningful)! Another reason and the most important to me is, a manifesto can provide the foundation of one's core values. It clearly defines your beliefs which can then inform your decision making. I began to contemplate this and came up with two important questions:

  1. What do I believe in passionately?
  2. What aligns with my souls' purpose and calling?

Wren's 2022 Manifesto

So here it is ladies and gentlemen....my Manifesto for the New Year.

"Home of Wren was born from the idea of home being a safe haven. A place to find solace, peace and centering. I believe home can mean the physical structures that surround you. But I also consider home to be the structure that houses your deep soul. The root of your being.

I believe we all have the right to define ourselves. To live authentically in our true essence. Home is the awareness that the magic you hold is unique. I believe finding home is the ability to actualize your magic. To stand in your own energy to be witnessed as you are.

I believe we all have the right to find joy. To bathe our senses in things that enrich and add beauty to our everyday lives. To express the creativity inside of us. To communicate and contribute our beauty into our surroundings.

I believe we can determine our boundaries and say yes to the inner knowing we each hold. We can discover our voice and sing freely."
